Welcome to Cafe Nick, nestled in the quaint streets of Copenhagen at Nikolajgade 20. This cozy cafe stands as a nostalgic beacon for both locals and visitors alike, embodying the charm of yesteryears while appealing to the contemporary coffee enthusiast. As you step inside, you're immediately enveloped in an ambiance that feels both inviting and timeless, reminiscent of a magical retro dream.

What truly sets Cafe Nick apart is its unique blend of historical charm and unbeatable prices. Dishing out delightful coffee options in a setting that hasn't changed much since the sixties, it is a place where time seems to stand still. Many patrons fondly remember their youthful visits, as evidenced by customers like zooey1234, who beams with joy at the cafe's enduring presence and its captivating artwork that remains intact.

The air is often filled with a rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee, mingling with casual chatter, while the relaxed atmosphere encourages guests to unwind and soak in the moment. Customers rave about the friendly and down-to-earth owner, described by Hallel Rosenberg as welcoming, which contributes to the overall warmth of the experience.

Don't be surprised if you encounter some quirky charm along with your cup; as The Mouth poetically describes, the cafe has an atmosphere all its own that is both enchanting and a little rough around the edges, much like the city it resides in. And just a heads up—while this hidden gem is a darling of locals for its affordable prices and authentic vibe, it's a cash-only establishment, a small quirk that adds to its character.

For those seeking a genuine taste of the Copenhagen local scene, Cafe Nick is your destination. Whether you're a seasoned traveler on a quest to explore the city's lesser-known spots or a curious local wanting to rekindle old memories, this cafe guarantees a warm welcome, friendly faces, and vibrant conversations. It's a canvas of memories where every sip of coffee tells a story—one that you're sure to want to add to your own journey through the heart of Denmark.

So, on your next visit to Copenhagen, make sure to visit Cafe Nick. Grab a cheap Tuborg and engage with the delightful landlady who ensures everyone feels at home—because this isn’t just a cafe; it’s a community hub, a local landmark, and a cherished memory waiting to be made.

Nick's Bar!!! where I spent most of my youth! Glad to see it's still up and running at the same premises, and with at least one of the same artworks!!

It looks like the inside of a magical retro dream. It smells like the inside of a tar stained dying lung. The best bar in Copenhagen.

This place hasn't changed since the sixties, and that is amazing. The owner a friendly and down to earth Danish Lady, and the coffee's pretty good. Would definitely consider visiting here for a touch of the local scene.

Amazing little local bar, off the beaten track for tourists. 1/4 the price of your main pubs. Landlady really nice and helpful and welcoming. Will come back here every time we visit Copenhagen. NOTE: cash only.

Like a trip through time, this cozy smoking bar holds beautiful art in its walls, so it feels like a miniature museum that welcomes its regular customers and tourists alike. Great service, kind and warm, lovely music and drinks selection too.
